What RentORNot.net is

A place to read and write reviews of landlord businesses and property managers, and the Rent-or-Not Check, a private calculator and checklist for comparing rentals. It is not a landlord, a broker, a tenant screening service or a law firm, and it gives no legal or financial advice.

Writing a review

By sending a review you confirm that it describes your own experience as a tenant or applicant of that business within the last five years, that it is true to the best of your knowledge, that its opinions are presented as yours, and that it follows the content policy. You keep the rights to what you write and give RentORNot.net a free, non-exclusive licence to publish, show and remove it on this site. Every review is read by an editor before publication; the editor may decline or remove any review that breaks the policy and does not publish anything that has not been checked.

Reviews are opinions

Reviews and business responses are the views of the people who wrote them. The editor checks them against the content policy but does not verify each statement. Read several reviews and do your own checks before you sign a lease.

Businesses

Responses and disputes are free. Whoever responds or disputes for a business confirms that they are authorized to act for it and that what they say is true. A business cannot buy the removal, hiding or ranking of a review.

The Renter Pass

The Renter Pass costs $1.95 a month or $19.50 a year, paid through PayPal once payments are switched on. During the preview it is free and nothing is charged. You can cancel in PayPal at any time; the Pass runs to the end of the period you paid for. The Pass buys features of the Check only; it changes nothing about reviews.

Your Check

Your Check opens with its private link; RentORNot.net cannot recover a lost link. Boards not opened for two years, with no Pass running, are deleted. You can delete yours at any time. The Check adds up the numbers you enter; it does not know any landlord's real prices.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. RentORNot.net is not responsible for decisions made using reviews or the Check.

Who we are

RentORNot.net is run by WeldonPC (weldonpc.com). Questions about a review go through the dispute form or the report link on the review. For anything else, including a copyright or other legal notice, write to WeldonPC through weldonpc.com/contact.
