Landlord and property-manager reviews
Know the landlord before you sign.
Renters rate the businesses they rented from on four things that matter after move-in day. Every review is read by a person before it appears, and no business can pay to change one.
Four questions, one verdict
What every review answers
-
1
Repairs
How fast and how well repairs got done.
-
2
Communication
Answers calls and messages, gives notice.
-
3
Fairness
Fees, rent increases, deposit returned.
-
4
Condition
The home was as promised at move-in.

Rent or Not
Would you rent from them again? The share of renters who say Rent leads every business page.
Rent Not
The rooflines above show how a rating is drawn (five rooflines = 5 out of 5). They are an illustration, not a real business's score.

Reviews from renters
The street is quiet so far.
RentORNot.net is new, and it never makes up reviews to look busy. The first reviews appear here as soon as they pass the editor's check. Rented from a landlord business or a property manager in the last five years?
How a review gets here
Nothing goes up until a person has read it.
- 1
Written
A tenant or applicant rates a business and confirms the experience is their own, from the last five years.
- 2
Screened
Phone numbers, email addresses and Social Security-shaped numbers are refused outright. Accusations of crimes, street addresses, names of individual people and profanity are flagged.
- 3
Held
The review waits in the editor's queue. Only reviews that meet the content policy are published.
- 4
Answerable
The business can respond in public for free, or ask for a correction or a takedown. Paying never changes a review.
Rent-or-Not Check
The rent is not the price. Add it all up.
Put each place you are considering side by side: deposit, application fee, one-time fees, pet rent and parking, utilities, a free-month special and the lease length. The Check shows the cash you need on move-in day, the cost of the whole lease and the effective monthly price, next to what you saw at the viewing.
